Q. What is the Tribute Project?

A. A bunch of SOCKHEADS (tm) getting together and recording Sifl and Olly songs as a tribute to the show and it's creators. The CD (or CD's, it may end up being a 2 CD set) is called "Bangin' On Some Pots and Pans". There was a vote to name the title of the project, and that was the name that the Sockheads(tm) chose. For those who don't know, it is a lyric from a Sifl and Olly song from season one called "Up in the Cabinets" We originally had close to 60 entries involved in this project, but due to lack of entries we barely have enough songs to complete one CD. A volume two could happen in the future, but it is unlikely as I type this. I will update this page when/if a second tribute CD happens.

I am sorry, no more tribute CD's are being made. For anyone who still wants to hear the songs, luckily you can do so at this address. http://www.geek-nation.com/sno/ Sorry, we made close to 100 of them, but that's it. A. Q. Can I contribute a song to the CD?

A. Volume One is completed, so no.... The chances of a second volume are not impossible, but very unlikely. If someone else it willing to organize it, then maybe it will happen. I will not have the time or energy to organize a second disc in the forseeable future.

Q. I am one of the artists on the CD and I want to thank people in the tribute booklet. Who do I e-mail it to?

A. Sorry, the booklets have already been made. Q. How did this all come together? How do you plan to put it together?

A. The whole project has taken an absolutely insane amount of time. The whole project started from a post to the Sockheads list by Justin Channell, He asked if the Sockheads had considered doing a Sockheads tribute album. While I was cleaning out my hotmail e-mail account one day and getting rid of the mail I didn't want or need anymore, I ran across Justin's e-mail and thought.... "Why not, let's do it!" The next few months were fun, lots of e-mails back and forth trying to figure out who was going to be part of it for sure, me getting a P.O. Box, and people actually sending the tapes with their songs on it. I fondly remember checking my P.O. Box nearly on a daily basis and being suprised with some of the talent on this list as I popped the tapes in my Walkman while walking to work. We initially had about 60 entries, but only 23 of them ended up on the CD (only 23 people actually completed their songs). It was a fun project, and although I am very proud of what we accomplished, A good part of me is glad that it is over. A lot of hours went into this, and I hope that you enjoy the online version! ROCK!
